Welcome to our Loudon Elementary Family!  We are glad you're here!

Be responsible. Be respectful. Be safe.
We would like to tell you about a wonderful new website called Read Tennessee.
It has been developed to assist teachers, parents, and community members in understanding common core curriculum standards and increased state expectations for learning.
There are great tools available on the Read Tennessee website to help our children learn valuable reading skills, and to achieve their greatest success!

Check it out at: www.ReadTennessee.org

Food Lion is committed to supporting the local schools.  The Classroom Rewards are designed to help local schools earn much needed donations to help build a strong community.

  • Supporters will enroll by linking their MVP Card(s) to the school code 216443 for Loudon Elementary at http://www.foodlion.com/

  • Every time they shop and present their MVP Card, the amount they spend on qualified items is automatically credited to the local school that you choose to support.

  • All Food Lion brand products are considered qualifying items.

  • Food Lion will credit a percentage of all of the dollars spent back to the participating schools.

TAKE CHARGE OF EDUCATION
Target supports education in communities nationwide. Here's how it works: When parents, teachers and other school supporters use the REDcard, Target donates up to 1% of their purchases to the eligible K-12 school they designate. Each September, those funds are distributed to schools nationwide, including ours. Loudon Elementary School ID:94816. To learn more about the program or get materials to engage parents in your community, visit Target.com/tcoe. Loudon Elementary was presented with a check for $309.99 this past September. Thank you to all parents who participated and Target for donating over $300 MILLION to schools since 1997.

We’re still collecting box tops for education!
Check the tops and sides of cereal boxes, beverages, paper products, refrigerated items, snacks and baby products for the Box Tops for Education symbol.  By submitting these small squares you can help our school earn money towards acquiring educational supplies. The school receives 10 cents for each box top. It's very helpful when you cut those out to place fifty in one baggie, each baggie is $5.00. Send those to the school with your student and we will mail them in. Click on this link for a full list of products that participate in the Box Tops for Education http://www.boxtops4education.com/earn/clip/Brands.aspx

A HUGE THANK YOU GOES OUT TO
FOOD CITY

Food City school bucks are back for the third year. Bill Smith,
the store manager, just presented our school with a check for $1579.39 from last year's bonus buck points. Food City donates $600,000 to area schools each year with this program. It’s very easy! When you shop at Food City and they scan your value card, just
be sure to tell them to credit your bucks to Loudon Elementary ~ or you can tell them our school number, which is 40571. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends can participate. If you haven't already registered your value card, we encourage you to do so right away! The program dates are 9-11-11 through 4-22-12. Our school receives one point for every $10.00 spent in the participating brands. Please help our school by getting your "School Bucks" credited to Loudon Elementary!
