Our students and faculty had lots of fun today during our field day activities!
Our fifth graders got to go on a fun field trip to Nashville! We had a great time touring the state capitol building and seeing our lawmakers at work. We also saw some interesting presentations at the Tennessee State Museum before stopping at the mall to eat. Everyone had lots of fun!
Our LES Music Club, under the leadership of Miss Laura Frahme, put on a wonderful performance on Thursday, April 27. It was called "The Magic Jukebox" and it was about a group of kids who was cleaning out an elderly couple's garage. During the clean-up, the kids find an old jukebox that plays songs from the past, and the kids are able to learn about the different decades from the couple. Everyone involved in the performance did a great job!
Our fourth and fifth grade reporters and news anchors for WNDN News visited the WBIR news station in Knoxville. They had a great time learning about how reporters and anchors do their jobs, and they got to tour the set. Thanks to Mr. Cope for sponsoring this news team and arranging the field trip.
