Investigating Questions

Today, we will learn how Scientists investigate questions.
We will use observations to make inferences, explain different ways that science questions can be investigated, and explain how models may be used in investigations.
Students will also learn the following vocabulary words: observe, infer, predict, investigation, hypothesis, experiment, and variable.

Using Models

Today, we will understand how to use models. We will do this by asking questions about the natural world, recording observations, and investigating through free exploration.

Scientific Tools

Today, we will discover how Scientists use tools such as microscopes, graduated cylinders, and thermometers.
We will describe tools that are used to enhance the ability to make observations, list possible reasons for differences in measurements between groups, and record observations accurately and in appropriate ways.
