Hello and Welcome. I am very grateful and fortunate to begin my 4th year at Loudon Elementary. Prior to working at LES I worked as a teaching assistant in Maryville, counselor at a residential facility, stay at home dad, and spent a good amount of time in the US Navy.

My most memorable elementary school experience was in third grade. Our teacher showed us “The Mysteries of Harris Burdick” by Chris Van Allsburg. She asked us to create a story for any of the illustrations. I chose to write a horror story as gory as I could. She did not criticize to story, but encouraged me despite the genre. That experience taught me the importance of providing students with work that is interesting and unique to the student.

I am part of a family that consists of my wife, daughter, son, 1 dog, 2 cats, and 1 frog. I enjoy spending time with them (not so much the cats), reading, and most outdoor activities.
