I am excited to be part of the 3rd through 5th grade teams this year! For 12 years, I taught a  5th through 8th grade behavior intervention class at North Middle School. Prior to this assignment, I taught 4th and 5th grade Language Arts for 7 years. I enjoy helping students learn to enjoy books. I look forward to bringing a love of reading to many students this year. Literature can transport us to many places and unlock many adventures. Get ready to explore with me!

My favorite elementary school memory happened in fourth grade. One day I had the hiccups. Due to other children laughing, Mrs. Alexander was getting highly annoyed with me. I bent over to get something out of my desk. Much to my surprise, she walked up and hit me so hard in the back I fell out in the floor. It shocked us all! She said apologetically, "I thought I might scare them out of you". And she had.....I never hiccupped in her class again for the rest of the year.

My husband Tony and I enjoy hiking, biking, snow skiing, and rafting. We are blessed with 3 adult children Brandon, Laura, and MaKayla. I enjoy serving with international ministry teams and  ministering at conferences. My goal...to bring joy, love, and laughter to each day as my students achieve the best of their ability.
