I am happy to be at Loudon Elementary School. Before joining the Loudon team, I taught first and second grades in Knox County Schools. Also, I spent several years as a speech therapist serving many counties, including Loudon Co. I am very excited to be serving Loudon Elementary as a Response to Intervention (RTI) teacher. I am committed to helping students grow in the subjects of reading and math.
My most memorable moment from elementary school was when my 5th grade teacher, Ms. Wilson, broke out into song from the top of her desk. The entire class joined in the chorus, "In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight!" As the conservative Catholic School Principal walked into the room, everything became silent. Ms. Wilson's eyes nearly bulged out of her head. The principal walked out, the teacher hopped off of the desk, and we rolled in laughter. What a fun memory! Thank you, Ms. Wilson, for making learning fun.
On a personal note, I have been married to my husband, Todd, for 18 years. We are the parents of an amazing 11-year-old son, Cooper. We enjoy watching sports, going on adventures, and spending time on the lake.
I am very fortunate to spend my days with the amazing students and teachers at Loudon Elementary. Let's make it the best year!
