My role at LES is teaching in the K-2 CDC and providing Special Education Services to students in grades K-2. Before becoming a teacher, I spent about 16 years in Information Technology and non-profit management before becoming a paraprofessional at an elementary school and pursuing my degree in Special Education. This is my first year as a classroom teacher, but I have worked in education since 2017.
My favorite memory from elementary school was the time Muhammad Ali, the famous boxer, visited my school and I got his autograph. I still have it!!
When not teaching, I enjoy spending time with friends and family - especially my niece and nephew, hiking, snowshoeing, cooking, and learning how to play my new guitar. I also love to travel and have been to most of the 50 states and six other countries. My favorite place I have traveled was Cape Town, South Africa. The people, scenery and animals were amazing! Finally, I really love Princess Leia and the Star Wars movies.
