This school year, 2022-23, marks my nineteenth year at LES, and I feel so blessed to work with such great students and faculty. Over the years I have taught second grade, fifth grade, and English Language Learners. This year, I will be teaching ELL students in grades 3-5 primarily.
From the time I started kindergarten, I always wanted to be a teacher. Mrs. Sundstrom was my kindergarten teacher, and I remember the excitement we both shared when I learned to read in her class. I recall wanting to share that enthusiasm and help teach others, even when I was very young. I still have my first books I learned to read, and I will always treasure them and the memories of that life-changing experience. This school year, as with all others, I hope I can instill that same passion for reading and for learning new things in my students.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, exercising, spending time with my family and my two golden retriever "granddogs," Aspen and Denver. Also, I became a grandmother for the first time in February of 2022 to the sweetest granddaughter, Parker Lee.
