I love being a part of the amazing teachers and staff at Loudon Elementary School. This is my twenty second year as a teacher, my sixteenth year here at LES, and my third year as the RTI Teacher. I taught ELL for thirteen years here at LES. Prior to teaching ELL I was a general education teacher with experience in second, third, and fifth grades.

I had many wonderful teachers when I was in elementary school, but my most memorable was my fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Furhman. We learned about different types of poetry and then got to vote on our favorite. We chose the humorous rhyming poems of Shel Silverstein, and got to act out a number of his poems for our families. I still love Shel Silverstein's books and poems and share them with my students. Also while in Mrs. Furhman's class, our class planted a tree in front of the school. At the time, it was only about a foot tall. That tree still stands in front of my elementary school and is now much taller than the 2-story school!

I have two daughters, Miranda and Emily. Miranda is twenty four and works in Human Resources. Emily is twenty, attends the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, working on a degree in Music Therapy. I enjoy listening to music, playing piano, traveling, nature, animals, and reading. I feel so blessed that I get to teach your sweet baby/babies and help them reach their full potential. Thank you for sharing your child/children with me! This is going to be another great year here at Loudon Elementary School!
