ABOUT ME

East Tennessee State University, B.S. in Elementary Education (1999)

I love the relationships that I have built during my time at Loudon Elementary School. I have been a teacher at LES since 2005.  I taught 5th grade for 9 years before moving to 4th grade.  After teaching all subjects in 4th grade for 4 years, I taught only Reading/Language Arts for one year.  I am now responsible for teaching Reading/Language Arts and Social Studies. I can't believe this is my 18th year at LES!

My most memorable moment from elementary school was celebrating Hawaii Day in 4th grade.  My teacher brought in coconuts, pineapples, and we had a sandbox in the classroom.  Miss Barton made that day so fun, and I learned so much!

On a personal note, I have been married to my husband Chad for 23 years. Our daughter, Anna, is a firefighter for the city of Cookeville, TN. We enjoy spending time with family and participating in church and community activities.
