I am excited to be part of the team of amazing teachers and staff at Loudon Elementary School. I served as the principal at Fort Loudoun Middle School from 2012 to 2018. Prior to that I was the assistant principal at FLMS. I have also served as an instructional coach, a classroom teacher, and a special education teacher. The 2022-2023 school year is my 25th year in education.

The most memorable moment of my own elementary school years was when Mrs. Pat Kirkpatrick held me on her lap during a school play. I couldn't stay awake and kept slipping out of my chair. Instead of fussing at me or sending me to sit in the office, she held me on her lap until the production ended. I was only six years old at the time, and that feeling has stuck with me ever since. I hope that every student at LES has a teacher that makes him/her feel as safe and as loved as Mrs. Pat made me feel as a first grader!

On a personal note, I have been married to my husband Jeff for almost 26 years. We have two teenagers - Gracie and Zeke, two cats - Carl Blackberry and Bonnie Waffles, and a mini-Aussie named Apollo. I love running, working out, and traveling.
