Team Extra Credit with their student fans

Saturday night at Loudon Elementary School was filled with excitement, laughter, and school spirit as students, families, and staff packed the gym for the highly anticipated wrestling event featuring East Tennessee Championship Wrestling (ETCW) and our very own “Team Extra Credit”—Dr. Elliott and Mr. Nic. The event was organized as a fundraiser to support new playground equipment for LES, and the energy in the gym was electric from start to finish. Dr. Elliott, who had connections with ETCW, helped bring this special opportunity to the school, and both he and Mr. Nic even trained twice in the wrestling ring to prepare for their big debut. Before the main event, the crowd was treated to a lineup of thrilling matches featuring professional wrestlers like Doink the Clown, Doctor Feelgood, and Thunderstruck champion Chase Bryant, setting the stage for an unforgettable night.

When it was finally time for Team Extra Credit to enter the ring, the cheers from LES students could be heard throughout the gym. Many stood ringside, waving and shouting encouragement, their excitement and concern visible as their beloved assistant principal and teacher faced off against seasoned pros. The match was full of heart and humor, and by the end of the night, students even got the chance to climb into the ring themselves—a moment many said was their favorite part. On Monday morning, the buzz around school hadn’t faded; students were still talking about the incredible night and already looking forward to the spring rematch. Mr. Nic admitted he was a bit sore afterward but said he’d “definitely do it again.” With that, the countdown has officially begun for Team Extra Credit’s next big showdown!
