Steekee Elementary Testing Incentive Fun!!
Believe it or not it is almost time for state testing! If your student is here on time for testing each day, and puts forth their best effort, they get the opportunity to participate so many fun activities!! Kindergarten and 1st grade are invited to join in on the fun through their attendance and participation in their regularly scheduled class as well! Below is what you need to know for your classroom.
1. Dress up days to get ready for testing
April 7th – Crazy hat day (Put on your thinking cap!)
April 8th – Dress as your favorite superhero or princess (You have the power to ace the test!)
April 9th – Wear neon colors (You are so bright!!)
April 10th – Pajama Day (Relax, you’re almost there!)
April 11th - Wear green or your Steekee Scout attire (We’re all in this together!)
2. Ice Cream Sundaes: For each testing day that a student arrives on time and puts forth their best effort, they earn a scoop of ice cream or a topping for their ice cream sundae. After testing, they will be able to build their sundae and enjoy the treat they earned!

3. Raffle tickets: Each day a student is here on time and ready to test, they write their name on a raffle ticket. These will be pulled from a bucket for a fun activity!
4. Teachers: If a teacher has 2 or less make up tests after testing season is over, they will get to parade down the hallway in a fun surprise costume and load cars at car riders while sporting their cool new look! AND if a teacher has NO makeup tests, they will get to wear their fun surprise costume to our pep rally and compete in a race for their class to win 1st place!
5. Dr Stapleton: After testing is concluded, we will host a pep rally to celebrate our students’ hard work! This is where those raffle tickets come in. We will draw several raffle tickets from a bucket. The students whose names are on these raffle tickets will get to help us DUCT TAPE DR. STAPLETON TO THE WALL!!!

Please be careful when exiting Steekee campus (behind the gym/cafe). There are large broken limbs in the driveway.
By popular demand, Steekee Elementary is selling Spirit Wear. This is not a fundraiser, but several parents have asked for the opportunity to order Spirit Wear, and we are happy to help.

Hello Scout Families,
Don't forget our Winter Family Fun Night on 2/27/2025. We'll begin at 4:30 p.m. in the cafeteria for a light meal (first come first served). Our staff have many fun activities planned for the evening and it will be a great time to spend time with your child(ren) and visit with their teachers. The evening will conclude at 6:00 p.m.
The LAUNCH After School Program will be canceled that evening. All students will be dismissed at 3:00 p.m. Please ensure your child knows whether he/she will be a car or bus rider that day.

Loudon County Schools is adopting science textbooks from the list of TDOE approved materials. As part of the state-mandated process, public viewing of and feedback on materials is available at the Loudon County Technology Center from 8:30-3:30 on any day school is in session from Feb. 10th - March 6th.
Please note the change: At Steekee - 3rd Quarter Progress Reports will be sent home tomorrow, Friday, February 7.
