While we wish everyone could join us, our priority is ensuring that all students are able to participate. For this reason, we schedule most events during the school day, so no child misses out due to transportation or evening conflicts. We warmly welcome parents, grandparents, and any adults listed on a student’s emergency contact list to attend whenever possible.

What is a friend? Good friends are characterized by loyalty, non-judgmental support, and consistent connection. This week, eight friends were recognized with our Galilani Friendship award. We are proud of their efforts to show others loyalty, connection, and being non-judgmental in our world today.

Today our second graders proudly celebrated Jackie Robinson Day! 🧢⚾
In our curriculum, we learned about how Jackie Robinson showed courage, determination, and kindness as he broke barriers and changed history. Through stories, discussions, and activities, our students discovered that standing up for what’s right can make a big difference, no matter your age. We are so proud of our second graders for honoring Jackie Robinson’s legacy and learning how they, too, can be leaders who treat others with fairness and respect. 💙 #digintolearning #secondgraderocks

🎉 Happy National Schwa Day in Second Grade! Did you know that the most common sound in spoken English is the schwa sound? The schwa makes a relaxed version of the short u or short i sound when a vowel is unstressed. Today, second grade was definitely relaxed and unstressed as we celebrated in our pajamas! Our students had so much fun learning all about the schwa. Some classes enjoyed reading "The Not‑So‑Lazy Schwa," snacked on pretzels and raisins, sipped lemonade, completed schwa sorts, made schwa monsters, and explored books to hunt for words with the schwa sound. Learning was cozy, engaging, and full of great phonics practice. What a fun way to celebrate this important sound in our language! 🎉 #NationalSchwaDay #secondgraderocks #digintolearning
