Good luck to our Lady Redskins and Redskins as they begin the 2023-2024 basketball season at Walker Valley tonight at 6:00. Just as with football, the TSSAA Article III/Section 9 ejection rule will remain in effect for basketball. As a reminder, if a spectator is ejected, they will be fined $250. In addition, there will be a minimum 2 home game suspension, and it will remain in effect until the fine is paid. We would also like to remind fans of a few new rules regarding fouls. Team fouls will be reset each quarter. At 5 team fouls, teams will shoot 2 free throws, and the scoreboard will not reflect more than 5 fouls. We appreciate the cooperation and support of Loudon High School athletics. Go Big Red!

Reminder that tomorrow, Friday 10 Nov at 9:00, LHS will hold an assembly to observe Veterans’ Day. If any student or faculty member has a close family friend or relative that served in the Armed Forces, please invite them to join us. Just ask them if they could be at the front office by 8:45 with a photo ID so we can log them in as a visitor and escort them to their seat by 9:00. We would love to have them join us so that we as a community can show our appreciation and gratitude for their service to our Nation.”

What a day for LHS Golf at the Region Championship at Ridgewood Golf Club! As a team, the Redskins finished 3rd in the region. The big news is that LHS had two qualifiers for the State tournament. Junior, Ben MacKintosh shot an 81 including a 1-under par 35 on the front nine to place 4th overall in the region, and Cooper Carr shot an 82 and placed 5th overall in the region as a freshman! Both will play in the State Tournament next week in Sevierville. Congratulations, to Coach Brandon Bunn and the Loudon Redskins Golfers!

Please have Senior students bring their computer chargers on that day too. Cell phones and smart watches will be prohibited and need to stay out of the building. Once the Seniors and Juniors complete the ACT, we will have a cookout for them, and they will be dismissed to go home. Sophomores and Freshmen will rotate through different study halls in the morning beginning at 8:15 a.m. This will be a great opportunity to get caught up on any missing work.
