Loudon County Schools is adopting science textbooks from the list of TDOE approved materials. As part of the state-mandated process, public viewing of and feedback on materials is available at the Loudon County Technology Center from 8:30-3:30 on any day school is in session from Feb. 10th - March 6th.


We have extended the deadline to purchase Valentines Candy Grams to Wednesday, 2/12 due to the missed days last week!



5th grade is hosting a Daddy-Daughter Dance to fundraise for our end of the year field trip! This dance will take place in the LES cafeteria. Doors will open at 5:00 and dancing will take place from 5:30-6:30. Any students in grades 3rd-5th are welcome.
Payment will be cash only and will be collected at the door.



This week, our second graders have been sucked into the world of knights, kings, and medieval times since we began our new reader, Sir Gus. We have quickly learned that he is not Sir Gus the Fearless like his name. He is fearful of most everything! We are excited to read what will happen next.









First graders wrapped up their unit on the history of the earth by becoming paleontologists! Students had a blast digging for fossils! Thank you to Adopt A Class for providing our students with the amazing fossil kits!!!!











Our students enjoyed another day of having lunch with their teachers or other special adults from LES!
We will post the results of our "Souper" Bowl Challenge on Monday!

Due to challenges related to sickness, Loudon County Schools will be closed Tuesday, February 4 and Wednesday, February 5, 2025.


Our students in morning LAUNCH Lab are racking up points and earning prizes! We are proud of the work they are putting in before school each day.


5th grade is fundraising by selling Valentines Candy Grams for $1! 🍭 From February 3-10, we will be set up from 7:00 am - 7:40 am near the office collecting money and grams. Buy as many as you want for family, friends, teachers, or staff. Candy grams will be delivered on Valentines Day, February 14.

Second grade has been happy to be back at school, learning and spending time with friends. This week, we have been working on place value, skip counting by 10s, leaning about the United States leading up to the Civil War, and assessing over skills we learned in reading, phonics, and grammar. #secondgraderocks #progressoverperfection









First grade has been learning about the layers of the Earth. This week they got to show off their knowledge by creating models showing the Earth's layers.
