The cat bandit has captured the minds of our second graders! We can't wait to read about what he will do next. This week, we read about how he stole a hot dog, a chicken nugget, and some snack mix. The cat bandit is definitely no ordinary house cat! #secondgraderocks #progressoverperfection

Families -- Due to recent legislation, we have revised two of our forms that we would like to share with you. First is the health screenings letter. If you do not want your child to participate, you must reach out to Kate Galyon galyonk@loudoncounty.org or your school nurse by Aug 31st. The second form is the back side of the health card. If you have already completed this form, you do not need to do anything. If you need an updated form, please reach out to your school nurse. If you have any questions about either form, please reach out to Kate Galyon galyonk@loudoncounty.org or Alison May maya@loudoncounty.org. Both of these updated forms can be viewed on our website at: https://les.loudoncounty.org/o/les/documents/files-from-parent-updates/686351

It's time to Get Yourself 2 School! Regular school attendance is so important to academic success and self-esteem. At the elementary level, parents play a crucial role in ensuring students catch the bus or are dropped off at school on time.
*Students who are not in class by 8:00 are considered tardy. Arriving to class late can be stressful and embarrassing for students.
*Students need to arrive by 7:45 to ensure they have time to eat breakfast at school.
*Students who arrive by 7:30 have 15 minutes to visit quietly with friends and classmates before transitioning to breakfast or class.

Updated Traffic Map for K-5 Dismissal

Cross Country Tryouts!!
Check out this opportunity for 3rd-5th graders! Contact Mrs. Rutherford with questions (rutherfordm@loudoncounty.org).

K-5 Traffic Flow
Please see the attached maps.
Our K-5 drop off has not changed. Parents may use the long route (green route) all the way around the school to drop off students beginning at 7:00 AM. After 7:45, parents may use the short route (orange route on map) to drop off K-5 students.
Until construction wraps up, our K-5 dismissal will change slightly. All cars must use the long route (green route) all the way around the school to pick up students. The shorter route will be reserved for buses only. This is a temporary change. We will notify parents when we can resume two afternoon car lines.
Our special education buses will temporarily drop off and pick up at the Pre-K circle. This information has been previously reported to impacted parents.
