The LES cross country team raced today at Victor Ashe Park. Five of our runners ran a personal best time, and three students ran the mile in under 8 minutes! Excellent job to all our runners today!

Adopt A Class generously donated reading bears to each first grader at LES. Each student fluffed their bear, named it, and spent the day reading to it. Students were excited about bringing their bears home to read to them. Thank you Adopt A Class for encouraging a love of reading in our students!

Wow! First grade rocked this week! We made x-rays of our hands, learned about question words (who, what, when, where, why), read so many books, and demonstrated how to be a good friend.
